Classic Aioli with a twist! ThisΒ garlic-infused, Creamy Vegan Aioli can be made in less than 5 minutes and it’s completely free of dairy, egg, soy, gluten or nuts.Β
This recipe may not seem like a big deal to you, but for me, OH MY GOODNESS, it rocks! My friend actually told me that he was dreaming of this Creamy Vegan Aioli and said it tastedΒ like Disney World in his mouth. SO funny, right? I’ll take it because it’s seriously one of the best condiments you’ll find yourself using.
So what exactly is Aioli? Aioli is the cooler big brother /sister of mayonnaise. Typically, it is made by pounding garlic into a paste with aΒ mortar & pessel, then whisking in egg yolk, lemon juice, mustard & olive oil. It is light, refreshing and the perfect accompaniment for a cruditΓ© platter, roasted veggies or even works perfectly as a sandwich spread.
Because I don’t have a mortar & pessel, I used my lemon zester whichΒ broke down the garlic bulbs into a creamy paste that just infused our Creamy Vegan Aioli with a ton of flavor. And since eggs are on the naughty-list, I had to think of a way to cheat the system when creating the vegan base.
Here’s where it gets fun…..Vegan Mayo! I LOVEΒ Β Just Mayo by Hampton Creek. It is Gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, lactose-free, non-GMOΒ & soy-free. Although their original mayo contains no peanuts, the labeling does not address this issue nuts at all (just so you know but as always read labels because those are always changing). Try thisΒ Roasted Garlic Aioli from Perry’s Plate using Just Mayo too make it vegan too!

Other than Just Mayo & garlic, you only need to include 2 other items to make this VEGAN AIOLI….. lemon & seaΒ salt. Whisk all of this together & you’ve made yourself a wonderful new dip! My kiddos were even eating up these radishes, both raw & grilled this evening. I haven’t found a veggie that didn’t want to be dragged across this spread.Β

I guess some flavored mayo would be nice to top some things with.
Oh, you can never have enough aioli on your plate! Love the stuff and really like the simplicity of this one. Great inspiration for serving with radishes. They are coming on in the garden by the handfuls!
So jealous! I tried a garden for a while and I think I fed the bunnies more than my family! π
Oh man I see sweet potato fries! I love using my microplane for garlic too π
What brand of vegan mayo do you use? I just love Hampton Creek.
We love Hampton Creek as well. Their Just Mayo is always in our fridge. We use to always use Vegenaise (and I still love the taste), but it contains soy and we have to limit that here.
I have to admit, I just love mayo and simple aiolis like this. I bet this is great with Vegenaise, but I’ve heard good things about Just Mayo, too.
We love Vegenaise too and it does turn out awesome as well. Just Mayo is soy free which is why I used it for this recipe.
Love this twist on classic aioli!
Thanks Jereann. It’s like a quick cheat way to do it.
