I’m always on the lookout for healthy snacks for my family.   While a store-bought protein bar may be a convenient choice, it is not always the best option out there!  Many are loaded with all types of sugars, artificial ingredients and allergens that can cause more harm than good. Grocery shopping for a family with special dietary restrictions has gotten easier over the years.  I have found that it is safest to stay on the outside of the aisles and stick with mostly fruits and veggies.  Once I make my way toward the center of the store it is filled with all kinds of processed foods and very little of them are safe for our little guy.   Who has time to make a big elaborate breakfasts every morning?  I know I don't.  Those are for weekend mornings or when we go out (let someone else make the mess!), right?
