S'mores! Can I have me some more please? I wonder if that's how it got its name? When marshmallows, chocolate & graham crackers are combined, who wouldn't want s'more? I know I do and now that I've added SunButter (my favorite nut-free spread), this Summer treat tastes like a melted allergy-friendly Reese's cup, I really want s'more! How about you?

Toffee Square CoverSalty, buttery, chocolatey…….need I say more? I guess it wouldn’t be a fun read if I just ended there, but here’s the thing, these treats just don’t need a whole lot of talking about.  Their deliciousness really speaks for itself. All my kids need to say is "can you make those cracker things" and I know exactly what they are asking for.

Chocolate Sunbutter Crisp Pops This winter, we took the kids to see the movie Creed and it's been non-stop, all things Rocky since then. We have all watched & re-watched, every single movie over the past 2 months and even now, I’m sitting here with my daughter, watching as Rocky admits to Adrian that he is afraid to fight & lose everything shortly after Mickey's death. As always, Adrian ends up encouraging him, telling him that she believes in him which leads to a more intensely driven training sequence. Enter “eye of the tiger”…….. This is seriously such a great movie series (Rocky V included)!   Do you know what else is seriously good?  Nestle Crunch candy bars, or at least they use to one of my favorites when I was younger.  Something about the sweet chocolate with crispy rice in each bite, had me running to the corner store to spend what little money I had as a kid.

Avocado Pudding Have you jumped on the bandwagon yet? For chocolate, avocado mousse that is. Before you start cringing up your nose or before you chime in with "my kid (or husband) will NOT eat that", let me tell you why you will want to try this. First of all, there is no added sugar. Secondly, it is amazingly creamy, rich & decadent without all the calories. Third, this dessert has nutrients (bonus points for this). Fourth, it's easy to make. Finally, although most important, Chocolate! So when you have a chocolate craving that you want to fix fast, but you don't want to ruin your diet in the process or fill your kids with garbage treats, then this is a MUST MAKE.

fried rice Dinner doesn't have to be difficult, sometimes the best ones are simplest. Several nights ago, I went all out with this elaborate dinner.  It was this lentil & butternut squash dal with homemade chia seed (gluten-free, flour free) bread. It may not sound crazy fancy, but it was time consuming, used a ton of ingredients & made a complete mess in the kitchen.  Needless to say, NO ONE liked it! In fact, my husband, called my oldest son at work and asked him to pick up tacos on the way home.  I opted to eat pity instead of tacos. That next night, I didn't make the same mistake, instead, I opted for making something I knew would win them over, something that wouldn't disappoint their taste buds.  Veggie fried rice.

Monkey Bread a.k.a Pull-Apart Bread, delish, allergy friendly
MonkeyBread Have ever eaten monkey bread? You may have actually had it before but by a different name such as cinnamon roll bread, pull-apart rolls, or monkey balls, just to name a few.  If you haven't had this bread before, then you are in for a treat.  It is like having a HUGE Cinnabon for breakfast, lunch or dessert.  Warm and gooey sweet bread rolls, coated in cinnamon sugar, layered then baked in a bundt cake pan, then drizzled (or drenched) in a layer of icing.  Sounds pretty amazing, right?
