This is no ordinary popsicle!  Homemade Frozen Berry & Yogurt Swirl Popsicles are simply a perfect blend of yogurt & fresh berries and a delicious way to start your morning or cool off during a hot summer's day.

So, it's getting warmer out, and you (or your kids) are craving something cold. Mine are constantly asking for ice cream which isn't exactly a mid-day snack. It's definitely not breakfast approved either!  You know what is, though? Yogurt! Here's a simple & easy way to make allergy-friendly, frozen yogurt pops with almost no work whatsoever. May I present you with my Homemade Froyo Berry Swirl Popsicles!

Pomegranate Orange Pancakes with deliciously sweet Orange-Maple Glaze are packed with zesty & bright flavors, and are incredibly light and fluffy (thank you aquafaba)

Beautiful & elegant pancakes, bursting with flavors of orange and fresh pomegranate. I have made a LOT of pancake recipes in my day, like Italian pancakes, fluffy blender pancakes, berry smoothie pancakes, gluten-free pumpkin spice pancakes, banana corn pancakes, even chocolate chip pancakes but these Pomegranate Orange Pancakes with Orange-Maple Glaze are by far my favorite. Made with fresh orange juice, seasonal pomegranate and spiked with orange zest, they actually taste refreshing.  Who would have thought, A REFRESHING pancake recipe during the winter!

Getting out of bed early isn't awesome, but this breakfast recipe from the new book Vegan Bowl Attack! by Jackie Sobon of Vegan Yack Attack IS!

Bowl food. It's the latest craze! But while I was creating a Pinterest board for vegan bowl food, Jackie Sobon went ahead and created an awesome cookbook.  Darn it!  :)  Actually, I LOVE this cookbook.  It is filled with more than 100 one-dish, plant-based bowls that everyone can enjoy, vegan or not.  They're hearty, nutritious and delicious, and sure to please anyone.  Just take a look at that Apple Pie Smoothie Bowl, doesn't it look fun?.

Rise and shine! You don’t have to get up at the crack of dawn to enjoy fresh free-from muffins. Just add water and oil to Enjoy Life's ready-to-use mix, and breakfast is looking pretty delicious.

Baking on a restricted diet can be difficult at times... especially in the beginning. I remember how overwhelming it seemed when I had to learn how to read labels,  learn to bake all over again with substitutions, and then learn how to shop find new & safe brands to buy! Thankfully, I found Enjoy Life Foods early on. Enjoy Life Foods is one of my favorite allergy-friendly brands!  Their whole philosophy is about forfeiting the bad stuff without giving up taste or texture. Love that!  I always have in my pantry a few bags of their chocolate chips, a box or two of cookies and my son, Xander, loves their bars!   They recently came out with a few boxed mixes and so I just had to try them out. Typically, I would bake from scratch but sometimes, it's nice to have a mix handy (just in case), especially when you're new to baking allergy-friendly.

HOLA!  Buenos dias? Having just returned from Mexico on family vacation, I am completely inspired to share an incredibly easy to make, inexpensive, protein rich, Breakfast burritos.  But before I do that, I just have to say how impressed I was with our trip to Cabo. Beyond it just being so darn pretty, and not mention relaxing, everyone we met were kind & polite, even when we passed on buying their goods they were selling on the marina.  What really blew me away, is that almost every restaurant we went to for dinner, asked right off about food allergies, even the gentleman taking our reservations! Way to make a food-allergy-mom feel more comfortable!   I can't remember the last time one of my waiters here actually asked about any potential allergies.  Needless to say, it was a wonderful time away and I am thankful everyone took such good care of us.

Cinnamony, sugary sweet, rolled dough baked to sticky perfection. Vegan & nut free. www.xanderfriendlyfoods.coWe're kinda boring when it comes to breakfast Monday -Friday.  It's either oatmeal, a protein shake or toast with SunButter or avocado on top.  That's mostly how we roll here in the Dawson home, so don't feel bad because you haven't made a beautiful pancake stack this week.  I just honestly don't have time for that during the school year, HOWEVER, weekends are a different story!  Weekends are the perfect time to pull out your apron, grab your mixing bowls and make something amazing!

Pancakes are great, waffles are wonderful but CINNAMON ROLLS....those are amazing, especially when they are free of dairy, eggs & nuts!

Vegan Chocolate Zucchini Muffins

Poor little muffins,,,,,. They're never invited to be the star at a birthday party or baby shower, they don't get all the beautiful frosting and decorations and most of the time, they are just wrapped up or boxed up only to be consumed as a quick and easy breakfast option.

I'll admit, I don't like very many store bought muffins.  They are too dry, too fake tasting, too sticky, too sugary, too boring, too whatever.  So I totally get why cupcakes are favored, however, what if there was a muffin that was soft & fluffy like a cupcake, rich & chocolatey like a cupcake, but healthy enough for breakfast and indulgent enough for dessert?  Well, there is!

Toasted Oat & Yogurt Bowl

I'm going to take you back for a moment (some of us a little farther back) to remember your childhood and what your mother or father would tell you about breakfast.  They probably said that it was the most important part of the day, right?  And,,,, more than likely, we tell our kids the exact same thing, but do we actually "eat" what we "preach"?

Breakfast is designed to supply a third of the macro and micronutrients your body needs to run without a hitch.  It prevents growling stomachs, low blood sugar shakiness, or wandering attention to keep you from nailing those big goals you’ve made for yourself.

So what are you eating each morning to prevent those things from happening? A cup of coffee gulped down on the go? A sugary donut or muffin eaten at your desk? Nothing at all?

Your body deserves so much better than that, and so do you!
