This is no ordinary popsicle!  Homemade Frozen Berry & Yogurt Swirl Popsicles are simply a perfect blend of yogurt & fresh berries and a delicious way to start your morning or cool off during a hot summer's day.

So, it's getting warmer out, and you (or your kids) are craving something cold. Mine are constantly asking for ice cream which isn't exactly a mid-day snack. It's definitely not breakfast approved either!  You know what is, though? Yogurt! Here's a simple & easy way to make allergy-friendly, frozen yogurt pops with almost no work whatsoever. May I present you with my Homemade Froyo Berry Swirl Popsicles!

Mixed Berry Pepper Jelly

There is an abundance of peppers growing in my garden, so much so, I can barely keep up with using them.  I've frozen some, made salsa, incorporated them into sauces and meals and even-handed them out in little brown bags to the adults during Halloween (I seriously have that many!). I felt like I was running out of ideas on how else to use these Serrano, until I ran across a jar of pepper jelly in my fridge and was inspired to make my own homemade jelly.

Dragonfruit Strawberry Jam

I think I am obsessed with chia seeds.  I throw them in smoothies, sprinkle them on sunbutter & banana sandwiches, use it as an egg replacer, make puddings and overnight oats with them but not once have I tried using them to make jam, until NOW!

If I only knew just how easy this was, I really would have done this a long time ago.

No boiling water, no canning, no tools. Simply fruit, maple syrup and chia seeds.  That's it!

Cheesecake (vegan & GF) Everday seems to be a Food Holiday.  This month alone, we've had Vanilla Ice Cream Day, Bagelfest Day, Milk Chocolate Day and even Hot Dog Day to name a few.  But did you know that today is National Cheesecake Day? Rich & creamy cake made with several big blocks of sweetened cream cheese, baked on a buttery graham cracker crust  and topped with whip cream. Oh my!   Then consider all the flavors that can be blended in this creamy goodness and the toppings you can add to it,,, its a dessert with endless possibilities.

Mango Berry Guac

One of my absolute favorite fruits would be an Avocado!  First and foremost, I enjoy the taste of them, especially when they are ripe. There is this subtle, buttery taste and texture that blends so well with whatever it is paired with. Then there's the health benefits!  Avocado's have moderate to high doses of vitamins such as potassium, B, C, E, & K as well as being high in the necessary fats our bodies need to function.  Being vegan and having to avoid nuts due to food allergies in the home,  I appreciate being able to get these fats from sources other than animals or allergens.  And on top of that, this alligator pear is quite versitile

Did you notice that I called an avocado a fruit? No wonder I like it so much!  It is actually part of the berry family and once you see it as a fruit, it opens up a whole new world for creativity in the kitchen. You have options for sweet and spicy, from adding avocados into fruit smoothies, blending it with cacao to make pudding, mixing into salads, topping it on breakfast hash or any type of sandwich, or just eating it plain with a dash of salt and pepper. The possibilities are numerous.  I especially enjoy avocados in the form of guacamole.  I think I could really just live on a big bowl of "GUAC".

Oh Summer Time how I love thee! Let me count the ways.......

The heat on my skin when I'm out in the sun (I don't sweat, I sparkle)

The color on my face from the rays' kisses (who needs anything but mascara by now)

The pool time and chill time with family (everything's a little more laid back)

Wearing sundresses and flip flops (just throw on some jewelry and you just made it fancy)

And the fresh fruits and veggies (chop some up and call it a meal).

Warm berries and mint are a delightful combination in this Skillet Pie

Warm berries and mint are a delightful combination in this Skillet PieTrying a new recipe for the first time can go 1 of 2 ways.....either people love it and everyone asks for your recipe, OR, they quietly eat most of it and leave it at that.

I am famous for baking something new when guests are coming.  When else do you have a reason to put on a big production, make yet another dessert and get honest feedback? Obviously I would prefer to hear my friends rave about the creation set before them, but quiet honestly, that doesn't always happen.  Especially when baking allergy-free.
