This is the first post I'm sharing that is not completely Vegan (gasp!) as it contains eggs.
I know, I know,,,,,"how could you?".  Well, the answer is simple....I don't want my food allergic child to die.
To some, this may not make any sense, as its hard enough for me to wrap my head around.  For the past 9 years, we have been telling our X-man NOT to eat ANYTHING that contains eggs as it has sent him into anaphylaxis before. But after his last Dr. appointment and another round of skin testing, we decided to challenge egg since his level dropped just so slightly.

Vegan & Gluten Free, Southern Style Grits
Bite-size Grits & Greens I am not a Southern girl by any means, but I do love me some southern food. Biscuits and gravy, warm cornbread, or grits and greens, Oh MY! Throw in some sweet tea and we're having a party (and making my kiddos & hubby, incredibly happy). Southern cooking really is good 'ol comfort food, and grits may just win as my favorite since they are little healthier (depending on how you make them) and easier to make vegan & allergy-friendly .

Candied ginger makes this Cranberry Sauce anything but basic, yet, it is so easy and delicious, you'll never want to buy anything from a can again.

Everywhere I turn, Christmas is already happening.  The store aisles are full of decorations, neighborhood homes are all lit up in beautiful twinkling lights and every toy catalog has found its way into my living room.  It is definitely beginning to look a lot like Christmas,,,,,although Thanksgiving hasn't even happened yet.

Warm berries and mint are a delightful combination in this Mint Berry Skillet Pie

Berries and mint are the star in this GF, Allergy free & Vegan dessertTrying a new recipe for the first time can go 1 of 2 ways.....either people love it and everyone asks for your recipe, OR, they quietly eat most of it and leave it at that.   I am famous for baking something new when guests are coming.  When else do you have a reason to put on a big production, make yet another dessert and get honest feedback? Obviously I would prefer to hear my friends rave about the creation set before them, but quiet honestly, that doesn't always happen.  Especially when baking allergy-free.
